John is a robotics engineer by day and a multi-instrumentalist outside of business hours. He began his classical training in violin and piano at the National Academy of Music in Sofia, Bulgaria, and later studied briefly under Emil Chudnovsky in DC. John teaches students of all ages (6+) both online and in person, and is able to teach in English, Spanish, French, and Bulgarian (with some Russian).
A Rockville native, Mari Carlson has been playing violin since she was only three years old. She plays with folk bands and in classical settings, including the Maple Ridge Bluegrass band, MOB gypsy jazz and folk duo, Girl Love Rock Band, Perdondosi quartet (viola), Eau Claire Chamber Orchestra, and the Chippewa Valley Symphony.
Justin’s zest for music ranges across a variety of instruments, including acoustic guitar, 5-string banjo, mandolin, ukulele, and violin. His musical interests range from jazz to folk and bluegrass to flamenco, but he is currently focused predominantly on solo classical guitar and playing tango music...
Carol Anne Bosco
While living for a year in New Orleans, Carol Anne began experimenting with alternative styles of playing. She continues to explore and has participated in folk duos and trios, funk rock groups, electrified string quartets, traditional Irish and Scottish music ensembles, alternative rock groups, and jazz ensembles.
