GuitarPianoTheoryViolaViolin/Fiddle

John is a robotics engineer by day and a multi-instrumentalist outside of business hours. He began his classical training in violin and piano at the National Academy of Music in Sofia, Bulgaria, and later studied briefly under Emil Chudnovsky in DC. John teaches students of all ages (6+) both online and in person, and is able to teach in English, Spanish, French, and Bulgarian (with some Russian). He makes use of Suzuki, Zweig, classical Russian, and hybrid (non-classical – jazz, rock, popular music) methods of instruction. His teaching style is flexible, based on each student’s needs. He can heavily emphasize technique and quality of sound or allow the student to experiment with their style and give them appropriate guidance to play what they would like to learn. John teaches violin, piano, guitar, viola, and music theory.
